Ok, looks good to go

by Dan Furman on December 16, 2008

Looks like I got the bugs worked out, the copy says what I want it to say, I proofread everything (really… I swear… kinda… ok, listen, if you find an error, let me know. It’s been a long process - you’d be surprised how many hours this little site took.)

Ok, the first thing that will go up here on the blog are a few older posts from my last blog. May as well have them here, because there’s a lot of good stuff. I probably have over 200 posts out there, and I’d say at least 20-40 are worthy of moving.  That doesn’t mean the others aren’t any good - it’s just you really don’t need to hear my fantasy football results from last season (I won) or my commentary on $4 a gallon gas (it sucked)… yes, we’re not all business here (as if you didn’t figure that out on your own already.) I’m definitely a guy who works hard and gets things done, but I’m far from that Type A “all business all the time” person, and that’ll show here.

While I’m talking about the blog, I’ll tell you what to expect… I generally write anywhere from 5-20 posts a month - depends on what’s going on. Most are business related in some fashion, some aren’t, some are serious, some are stupid…

I write this blog for readers to learn something, I write to entertain people, and I write it for me. I do NOT write it because some marketing guru (not me) said ”you should have a blog”.  I really don’t care how much this enhances my website in the search engines - you won’t find any soft, “SEO-type” articles here. I write for readers, not for machines - if enough people like me, and I do good work, I’ll be fine. It’s worked out well so far.

Anyway, thanks for reading tonight (it’s actually morning - 2:01am EST to be exact.) There will be plenty more in the coming days / weeks / months. Go ahead and RSS me (link is at the top right) if you like that kind of thing.

Nite!!
